UPDATE: Dottie just turned a year old and is finally relaxed and doing great with her foster family. She is one of the pack and likes it that way. She is still very shy when meeting new people. All she needs is a family to come and see her potential to be a wonderful part of the family, but they would need to let her do it in her time...which if treats are involved, shouldn't take long!! Dottie started hanging around someones house. They couldn't bring her in so she slept on the porch for a couple of weeks. They had hoped she would go home but there she stayed. They figured she must have been dumped there and searched for a safe place for her to go. That's where we came in. We agreed to take her and a week later she was here with us. She has come a long way since first arriving. She was very shy but is becoming more at ease every day. She loves to play with the dogs at her foster home and sleeps in bed with her foster family and their dogs. She goes out in a fenced in yard, she's not very fond of the leash, but is learning. She is afraid of the car and terrified of being crated, we will never know why. An ideal home for her would be one with a fenced in yard and another dog to play with and give her confidence. Note that in most cases the breed determinations are just an educated guess. Because these are rescued dogs we don't usually know who the parents are. PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU ARE WILLING TO MAKE A LIFETIME COMMITMENT TO THIS PET. Research the breed to see if it's a good family fit. Adoption fees range from $150.00-$295.00 and we do offer half price senior to senior adoptions. Spay/neuter deposits are required for all puppies and kittens.
