It happened last night...I had let the puppy mill dogs out about 4 a.m. to go potty and was snuggled in bed when I heard a scuffling sound. I turned on the nightlight to find Bridget playing with a stuffed toy...PLAYING WITH A TOY!!! I laid in bed and watched her for half an hour till she stopped and hopped back into bed. What a happy night. A dog who had never had a toy her entire life was finding out the joy of playing with her first toy. I am so happy to have been able to see this happen. You are safe, warm and loved little girl. Only happy times ahead for you...well except for bathtime, that was no fun at all!!! ~~ Bridget is a very sweet 5 pound 6 year old puppy mill survivor looking for a home of her own that will love and cherish her forever. She loves to eat and thinks if she jumps into her crate she will be fed because I feed the rescues in their crates...it's so cute!! She wags her tail when you talk to her. She uses piddle pads, she hasn't gotten the knack of going potty outside. She is getting used to the idea of being picked up and held and I think she is liking it!! Note that in most cases the breed determinations are just an educated guess. Because these are rescued dogs we don't usually know who the parents are. PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU ARE WILLING TO MAKE A LIFETIME COMMITMENT TO THIS PET. Research the breed to see if it's a good family fit.
